Madhuri Dixit turns 50 today and she reveals her all of it.from her first live performance to her first movie she reveals it all..
First On Screen Dance: The first time I danced on screen was for the film Abodh (1984). There was a song in it that went like, ‘Ho phoolon ki daaliya rang birangi’. It wasn’t literally dancing though, more like swaying for the camera.
First Filmy Dance Number: It was for the film Ram Lakhan (1989). The song was ‘My name is Lakhan’, choreographed by Saroj ji (Khan).
First Song Ever Danced On: I don’t remember the title of the song as the first time I danced was when I was just three and a half years old.
First Live Performance: That was when I was eight years old. There was a huge audience and I performed the classical dance form, Kathak. I performed in front of the whole group of classical people who were well versed with the dance form. They were well known people in their own fields. I danced in front of them. I can never forget this performance.
First Time Got Scolded By A Director: I have been lucky as there are hardly an instances where I got a scolding from my director. I don’t remember any incidents.
First Job Before Acting: My first job was when I was a teenager. I would accompany my sister who would take dance classes. Even I used to teach dance teaming up with her. So my first job was of that of a dance teacher.
