Sachin Tendulkar is one of the most loved sports personality in our country and is being loved by children to adults. Iconic cricketer made the fan’s day when he revealed that he is a process of making a biopic titled Sachin — A Billion Dreams, and the movie is all set to release the movie on 26th May. The God of cricket these days is busy shooting promoting his movie on a different platform and was seen having a conversation with Indian film critic, Rajeev Masand. The two were seen talking about his first love, cricket and talking about his biopic in details.
Sachin Tendulkar was also quoted saying that the said project will focus not just on highs of his careers, but also during his low phase and was quoted saying that, We have got everything in it, I have revealed what was going on in my mind at the lowest point of my career.”
The movie is an honest aspect of the life of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar and as a result, it will talk about the dark period in Indian cricket i.e. the match fixing saga. The cricketer further added that not many things are known about the dark period which isn’t known to the public. He was quoted saying that, “It was cricket’s worst period. As a sportsman, you should learn to get back on your feet and start competing again.”
Sachin Tendulkar also said another important aspect of the movie is the role of his wife Anjali on his life and is a cricketing journey. He further added that “I cared about cricket and it was my passion. I had a huge responsibility on me from a billion plus people. There were times I couldn’t perform well, I used to get restless and it would hurt me. I wanted to do something the next time I got on the field. I am glad that it hurt.”
During the launch of the Marathi trailer in “This film has helped me relive the important moments of my life through its making! I remain a private person but realized that there is much I have not revealed or spoken about, to those who have been instrumental in my life and career, especially my fans.
“I hope the film will be yet another avenue for fans who have showered their love and blessings on me, to cherish the journey that we undertook together for over 24 years.”
