Cricket and Movies are next to religion in our nation and staples of the Indian public. Over the years two field have come together and flirted with each other, time and again.Excel Entertainment headed by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani had produced their first ever web series on cricket and which brought out the dirty side of the sport. The show has been directed by Karan Anshuman which is available in Amazon Prime Video. The show has taken inspiration on real life incident and from the 2013 IPL scandal.
Inside Edge also stars Angad Bedi, the son of former Indian cricketer Bishan Singh Bedi, who plays a team captain (Arvind Vashisth) in the show. His experience of playing under-19 cricket tournaments and stint as an anchor in the IPL is likely to come into play. The web series also stars Sayani Gupta, Sarah Jane Dias, Sanjay Suri and Tanuj Virwani.

The ace actor Angad Bedi has once again impressed the audience by giving superb performance in the show ‘Inside Edge’. The actor essayed the role of a team captain with so much honesty that hasn’t only won the heart of the fans but also his father Bishan Singh Bedi. Bishan Singh Bedi needs no interdouction but to those who our unknown about his integral role in Team India. He was one of the finest spinners that the country has produced and had a rare talent of flight and guile to deceive the batsmen during a time period where fast bowlers were favored. During his playing days, he was master of deception who conjured variations in flight, loop, spin, and pace without any perceptible change in action.
Actor was quiet excited for his father to watch this show as its based on cricket and his approval to like the show means a lot. While watching the episodes the proud father poster watching his son take the field become little emotional and went down memory days. The humbled son was quoted saying that his father is proud of him and was mesmerized by his enactment in the show.
The Pink actor further added that, “It’s great to get an appreciation for your work. But when it comes from your own father it’s always special. Since my father has set very high standards.. to try and live up to them is not always easy. He keeps saying if you try and reach perfection it’s always 10 steps ahead. I’m trying to be the best I can be and honest towards my work.”
He also added that, “He’s happy that Inside Edge is doing well and my work as Arvind Vashishth is getting good reviews. I hope I can keep living up to his expectations.. Sometimes I know I will fall short but I will try and better myself each time.”
