Ranbir Kapoor is these busy promoting his upcoming movie Jagga Jasoos on various platform. During a recent interaction with the media was quoted saying that it’s sad that Pakistan talented actor Fawad Khan’s name was dragged into controversy during his last release Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
The ace actor Fawad Khan was integral part of the story though he played a cameo in Karan Johar’s directorial. But had to leave the country post the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) self-imposed ban on Pakistani artists from working in India.
The Jagga Jasoos actor also discussed about problem that Fawad Khan had to go thru release of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and was quoted saying that, “I am a big admirer of Fawad as a talent. His role in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil added so much of dignity and so much of an impact. He was kind enough to do it as it was like a guest appearance, it wasn’t a big part. It was unfortunate that due to the political climate Fawad had to bear the brunt. But he is someone who I admire and I also connected to him as a friend. I would love to do a film with him where we can share the screen space for a longer time.”
The movie was also special as it marks the first collaboration between ace director karan Johar and talented actor Ranbir Kapoor. Also further stated that he can’t wait to work on a project with Dharma Production honcho once again. He further added that, “We keep talking about films all the time. We are very close friends. Karan just had two lovely babies and that is taking most of his time. I think he will take a break before he gets back and dons the hat of a director. Whenever he has a film to make I would love to be a part of it.”
Fawd Khan has created a niche for himself both in India and Pakistan cinema. Fawad Khan made his Bollywood debut with movie Khoobsurat, alongside Sonam Kapoor. He became a household name with his television show Humsafar is one of the most spoken about TV show of the actor. Ranbir also revealed this mother and actress Neetu Kapoor is huge fan of Fawad Khan. He further added that, “I loved his part in Kapoor and Sons. My parents are his fans. My mother is borderline obsessed with Fawad, she has been watching serials like Humsafar“.
