Malayalam star Dulquer Salmaan is one well known star in South Indian Films such as Mani Ratnam’s O K Kanmani and Anjali Menon’s Bangalore Days. According to sources, he is all set to make his debut in Bollywood. He will be part of an untitled project produced by Ronnie Screwvala, which will also feature Irrfan Khan and the popular web series actor Mithila Palkar.
“It’s a light-hearted comedy that will see Dulquer and Irrfan as friends on a road trip. The film rolls by the month-end in Kerala,” said a source to the daily. If we talk about the film, it is written by Hussain Dalal, the writer of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and 2 States, and will be directed by debutante Akarsh Khurana. Khurana and Dalal have co-written the script. It expected the project wil start by end August.
Initially, Abhishek Bachchan was chosen for this role, but had to reject the offer because the dates of this film clashed with that of JP Dutta’s Paltan.
If we talk about Dulquer Salmaan’s 2017 releases. he is busy doing Sathyan Anthikad’s family drama Jomonte Suvisheshangal and Amal Neerad’s rom-com thriller Comrade in America. His upcoming projects include Solo, a Malayalam-Tamil bilingual directed by Bejoy Nambiar and Soubin Shahir’s Parava.
Mithila Palkar shot to fame with her performance in web series such as Girl In The City and Little Things, and recently also starred in a Marathi film titled Muramba.
Irrfan Khan is currently busy promoting his international project The Song of Scorpions.
