Mahendra Singh Dhoni created another record when he played against Sri lanka yesterday. Mahi, as he is popularly known by his fans, completed 300 one-day internationals. To make the day more special Indian Cricket Team Captain Virat Kohli bestowed him a specially designed silver bat to the India great and also while giving was quoted saying that “You will always be our captain.”
Dhoni once again proved why is he the best in the business and went on to score 49 off 42 in India’s 375 for five in the fourth ODI against Sri Lanka. Indian skipper post-match has this special match for MSD and was quoted saying that, “What do I say. 90 percent of us started our career under you. It is an honour to give this memento to you. And you will always remain our captain.”
Dhoni has become the sixth Indian cricketer to play 300 ODIs other being Sachin Tendulkar, Mohammed Azharuddin, Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly and Yuvraj Singh. India team defeated Sri Lanka in their home turf and has taken unassaible lead of 4-0 in the on going series.
