Karan Johar has reportedly ditched his plan to launch Prabhas in Bollywood owing to the exorbitant fee demand of the actor.
“Baahubali” gave Prabhas the kind of stardom that all South Indian actors aspire for. It also gave him the perfect launching pad to enter Bollywood but looks like he will have to wait for some more time to enter Hindi film industry. This is because filmmaker Karan Johar, who had reportedly decided to launch him through a Hindi film, has dropped the idea.
A source revealed to a leading that after the success of Baahubali 2, Karan was keen to launch the actor but due to his staggering fee, KJo has dropped the plan. A source said , “Prabhas had devoted five years of his life to the two Baahubali films and it was only fair that he would want to cash in on his new success.”
The source added, “Prabhas has clearly out-priced himself from Bollywood. After Baahubali and its sequel, Karan was keen to launch Prabhas in Hindi cinema. But on seeing the price he was asking, Karan has decided to abandon the idea of launching him.” According to the reports, it is said that Prabhas has demanded a whopping amount of Rs. 20 crores from Karan Johar.
Prabhas is busy with Sujeeth’s Saaho, a futuristic film that promises to be a wholesome entertainer with some breathtaking action and jaw-dropping visual effects. The film in question will release in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi.
