Here Is What Saif Ali Khan Says About Playing the role of dad Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi’s biopic!

In past few years, we have seemed Bollywood filmmakers have started giving importance to the sports personality by making a movie on them and also let know the viewers aware of their struggle.

The Late Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi was arguably the greatest captain India has ever had. He took over the reigns of the India team at the young age of just 21. He was known for great batting point of view and captaincy wise.

During the recent interaction with the media, Saif Ali Khan was asked if he has any plans to make a movie on his father and he would like to essay the role of him. He was quoted saying that, “I am keen to produce the film. But we have to find the right guy who can play my father. There is not much footage available. So whoever plans to make it, will have to do a lot of research.”

The Chef actor also talked about the real reason why he is hesitant to essay the role of his father and said that “I don’t think I am sexy enough. He was a stylish person and played the game with his own style. He carried the right attitude. I don’t think I can copy him.”

Salaam Namaste further added that, “Most of my dad’s glorious days on the field were when he was young. So I am not sure if I’d suit the part. Although I’d love to play him, I think we need a young actor.”

Veteran Actress Sharmila Tagore was quick to retort and feels that Ranbir Kapoor will be ideal person to essay the role of his husband in his biopic and Saif agrees with his amma choice

Saif Ali resembled quite a lot of his father in the role essayed Parineeta (2005) and Saif added that, . “That is one of the reasons why my mother liked Parineeta a lot. In fact, my sister [Soha Ali Khan] told me that I looked like Abba in the film”
