He started off his Bollywood career with a glamorous Karan Johar film — Student Of The Year (2012). But, since then, Varun Dhawan has been trying to mix things up. But now Varun is basking in the glory of the super- hit film ‘Judwaa-2’ directed by his father, David Dhawan.
He also spoke about Judwaa 2 and said, “I don’t know any director who is so coherent and connects so well with today’s youth as my dad does.” He also insists that his success in the film industry has not changed things at home. “My house is run like that; it’s the same way it was. Yes, now I do a few things such as sending my parents for holiday or buying a car. But, I still don’t pay for small things and I still take money from Rohit. And he always gives me money.”
Varun also said that he never pressurised, looking at the competition around him. I get more inspired. When I see movies like Kapoor & Sons and Piku (2015), I get kicked about doing good films. Varun has films lined up for next year – Sui Dhaaga, Shiddat and October, which he has recently wrapped.
