Diljit Dosanjh is a Punjabi actor, singer, television presenter and social media celebrity who works in Punjabi and Hindi cinema. He is recognised as one of the leading artists in the Punjabi music industry. He worked in many hit movies including the 2012 film Jatt & Juliet, the 2013 films Jatt & Juliet 2 and “Punjab 1984”, the 2015 film Sardaar Ji, and the 2016 films Ambarsariya, Sardaar Ji 2 and the 2017 Punjabi Film Super Singh – which are counted among the most successful Punjabi movies in history.
Diljit Dosanjh, whose Hindi film Soorma will lock horns at the box office with Dutt biopic, says he is looking forward to see the movie as he is a huge fan of both Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt. Soorma and Dutt biopic are scheduled to be released on June 29.

He said -“The film is based on my favourite superstar Sanjay Dutt sir and my favourite actor Ranbir is playing his role and it is directed by my favourite director (Rajkumar Hirani). All my favourite people are in a one film so I am very excited to see it. I will definitely go and watch the film.” When asked about the clash, the 34-year-old star said, “I don’t know if it is clashing or not. The producers are ideally the best people to talk about it. They are the owners they will talk about it. Diljit will be seen as former Indian hockey captain Sandeep Singh in “Soorma”
Diljit also spoke about the film’s title. “Soorma means someone who does something that is impossible. It’s the perfect title.” Soorma will also star actress Taapsee Pannu in the lead role while in Sanjay Dutt’s biopic, Paresh Rawal and Manisha Koirala will star as Sanjay Dutt’s parents Sunil Dutt and Nargis respectively. The Dutt biopic also stars Dia Mirza as Sanjay Dutt’s wife Maanyata while Anushka Sharma, Vicky Kaushal and Sonam Kapoor also play vital roles.
