Aamir Khan’s Secret Superstar continues to achieve new benchmarks at the Chinese box office. Directed by Advait Chandan the film that also stars Zaira Wasim has been well received by the Chinese audience propelling the total collections of the film at the box office in China past the Rs. 600 cr mark. Despite new releases, the film has managed to stick to the top position, which itself shows that how much the film has been loved by the Chinese audience.

Starring Zaira Wasim in the lead, the movie is directed by Advait Chandan. Secret Superstar is said to have been made on the budget of Rs 15 crore, excluding the publicity cost. However, the movie has now grossed more than Rs 700 crore worldwide, making it one of the most profitable movies of last year, perhaps the most profitable of them all.
Aamir Khan has become a popular and much loved figure in China. He has even earned a nickname with fans referring to him as Uncle Mi or Mi Shu. Recently, Secret Superstar received ten nominations at the 63rd Filmfare Awards, including Best Film, Best Director for Chandan, Best Actress for Wasim, and Best Supporting Actor for Khan.
Aamir Khan will be next seen in the mega-budget Thugs of Hindostan, also starring Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh. The movie will release during Diwali this year.
