Varun Dhawan will be appearing in two films- Sui Dhaaga and October, in which he’ll be essaying two contrasting roles. In October, Varun stepped into the shoes of a Delhi man while the film narrates the story about love without expectations. Varun Dhawan, who plays the male lead in the film, had been asked to not sleep for an entire week, to be able to look a certain way for his character in the film. The filmmaker didn’t prefer using make-up and wanted Varun to appear naturally tired for a part of the film.
Shoojit Sircar shared, “Yes I usually do this with many of my actors, used this during PINK as well. A couple of scenes with Varun required extensive emotional burst-outs, a performance that showed him quite exhausted..depth and weight in his overall demeanour and eyes, coupled with a tired voice, so I asked him to not sleep at night prior to the scenes.”
Varun Dhawan, in fact, is extremely excited for October so much so that he reportedly reduced his fee by fifty percent for the film. October has been made on a relatively low budget of Rs 20 crore and mid-day reported two weeks ago that Varun was made aware of it by Shoojit since the very beginning. Since Varun loved his role, he decided to slash his fee that was said to have been hiked by him after delivering simultaneous hits – Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya and Judwaa 2.
October is Shoojit Sircar’s first film with Varun Dhawan which stars newbie Banita Sandhu in lead role. The film is expected to be release in April this year.
