Yes, you have guessed it right, love for cricket and Bollywood which unify the whole nation. Cricket and Bollywood are two of the most loved careers in our nation and has a lot of charisma amongst their aficionados. And when the two come together, it is almost sone pe suhaaga, don’t you agree.
Indian Premier League in its 11 seasons which kicked started on the 7th April this year. The tradition was kept alive this year too when Bollywood actors and actress entertained the crowd as well as viewers alike in the opening ceremony and were also seen cheering for their favourite teams in the stadium.
Iconic actors Amitabh Bachchan was seen promoting his upcoming movie on the 102 not out on the IPL and was seen interviewed by none other than former
Indian World Cup winning cricketer Kapil Dev. During the interview, the session was enquired which was his favorite team in the IPL.
Amitabh Bachchan has been a great supporter of the game for a long time and can be seen cheering for the Indian cricket team from the stadium as well as supporting them thru social media by sending a motivational message for them. His son, Abhishek Bachchan also shares his father love for the sports and is a proud owner of a two sports teams Chennaiyin FC ( Domestic Football League – ISL) and Jaipur Pink Panthers (Indian Pro Kabaddi team). Though the Bachchan family isn’t the only Bollywood celebrities to own a team, such as Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta, Juhi Chawla who own IPL franchises.
We had mentioned earlier Kapil Dev turned interviewer with the Sr. Bachchan in a chat show. During the interaction Big B was asked which is his favorite IPL Team and was quoted saying that, “I support the IPL team from Kolkata, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), as I am a son-in-law from of the city. He added that even though he lives in Mumbai but still he favors the Knight Riders.
He was also quoted saying that his son is the owner of two sports teams, one of those in ISL and the other one in Pro Kabaddi Team, while his daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Hails from Karnataka. As a result, there is not any such major favoritism for any specific IPL franchise. But added the whole Bachchan clan enjoys watching y thrilling IPL match happily together as a unit.
On the work front, Amitabh Bachchan will next be seen in movie 102 Not Out and will once again share screen space with Rishi Kapoor after a long time. The movie is been helmed by Umesh Shukla and is all set to release on 4th May 2018.
