Legendary actress Sridevi’s sudden demise in February has left the film lovers and her fans in a deep state of shock. It is known that several celebrities across India paid their rich tribute to Sridevi. A top production house is planning to pay rich tributes to Sridevi my remaking a South classic film of Sridevi into Hindi.
The production house reportedly approached Deepika Padukone to reprise the role of Sridevi in Hindi. The title of the movie is not revealed but the reports say that the classic film was made a four decades ago and the performance of Sridevi was highly appreciated in the film. The production house is of the opinion that Deepika can do justice to the remake.
A source said, “The original Sridevi film was made by a producer from the South and helmed by a Bollywood director. However, talks are on to procure the rights and remake it with Deepika. Nobody is willing to comment on the subject because talks have just been mooted and there are a lot of modalities involved. However, it is true that Deepika is in the know.”
There has been a lot of anticipation about Deepika’s next because the actress hasn’t begun work on any film since the release of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat. The actress was to begin work on Vishal Bhardwaj’s next opposite Irrfan Khan but it, unfortunately, got detected after Khan got detected with a rare kind of cancer a few months ago. A few days ago, buzz suggested that Ms Padukone is in talks to play India’s first superhero and her avatar was designed after Wonder Woman played by Gal Gadot.
