For those of you who are unaware of the Madame Tussauds, it is a wax museum in London with smaller museums in a number of other major cities. It was founded by wax sculptor Marie Tussaud. Madame Tussauds is a major tourist attraction wherever situated displaying the waxworks of famous and historic people and also popular film characters.
Madame Tussauds London already has wax figures of Indian personalities like Amitabh Bachchan, Sachin Tendulkar, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and others. Last year, it opened a branch in Connaught Place in Central Delhi.
Coming to Soorma, the film is directed by Shaad Ali and produced by Sony Pictures. ‘Soorma’ stars Diljit and Taapsee Pannu in the lead roles. The movie presents the story of Sandeep Singh, who was paralyzed and used a wheelchair for two years after an accidental gunshot injured him in 2006. Sandeep made a comeback to international hockey in 2008. India won the 2009 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup under his captaincy and went on to qualify for the 2012 Olympics.
