“Kalank” is an upcoming film directed by Abhishek Varman and produced by Karan Johar, Sajid Nadiadwala and Fox Star Studios. It stars Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Kunal Khemu, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Sanjay Dutt. The film is scheduled for release on 19 April 2019.
It is reported that actress Sridevi was initially signed for the character role played by Madhuri Dixit.
Varun and Alia who are in Kargil for the shoot of the film recently shared a cute picture of themselves enjoying the chilling weather of the Kargil. They can be seen wearing heavy winter jackets as they posed for the camera. They are filming in very cold conditions and after wrapping up their Kargil schedule, the team will head to central India to shoot the next leg of their movie.
Varun Dhawan and Kunal Kemmu headed over to the war memorial to pay their respects to the fallen heroes and spend some time chatting with the brave men guarding the nation’s borders. Varun wrote, “At the KARGIL WAR MEMORIAL. #kalank travel. Was an honour to chat with our brave army men.”
Kunal said, “A salute to the fallen and the ones who stand tall and live tough and dangerous lives all so that we can live safely.
Actor Aditya Roy Kapur underwent a body transformation of a different kind for Karan Johar’s ‘Kalank’.
Aditya, who is undoubtedly one of the fittest actors in the industry, had to lose muscle and sport a leaner physique for the film, keeping it as real as it could get.
“Aditya enjoys going to the gym and most of his films in the past required him to sport a muscular physique. However, he had to lose all the muscle weight for ‘Kalank’, given that the film is a period drama and his look had to be natural and real, typical to that particular era. Aditya stopped training in the gym and let go of his diet, eating just about anything to achieve the look.”
Aditya Roy Kapur is will soon start prep for Mahesh Bhatt’s ‘Sadak 2’.
According Sanjay Dutt went on and shared a few interesting details of the film. Reportedly, he said that the film is an emotional drama about two families which promises a healthy dose of values and characters. Also, earlier, reports revealed that Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt are all set to play parents to the younger lot of actors in the film.
